For the last twenty-nine years, confidence in buying O.H.M.S. perforated official issues was virtually destroyed. Fakes were reported in abundance, and very few collectors, dealers, and expert committees could accurately identify all the genuine types. Release 5 is the only comprehensive reference available to experts and general collectors that will enable one to identify all 25 genuine perforated O.H.M.S. dies as well as the genuine O.H.M.S. and “G” overprints. It starts with a 20 page section on detection techniques followed by large scale photographs of all the 5 dies for the 5-hole and 20 dies for the 4-hole perforations.
